Hello everyone,

There may be some confusion as to what type of event this is.  We want to make it clear the event is for 1975 and older makes.  Though we certainly love the newer cars, this particular event is for the classic and vintage models of yesteryear.

If you have a “continuation” car (one that looks like a 75 or older)  then we welcome you to join us.

Thank you for understanding and if you need to, go get yourself an older car to participate with!

Driver’s waivers: Please download, sign, date & fax or mail in by Fri, Mar 20th.  We will only issue route instructions to those who have signed & returned the Driver’s waiver.  As this is a free event, our resources are limited and so we greatly appreciate you returning your waiver prior to the event.

Thanks again!
Dave

Hi everyone and welcome to our blog pages!

We are really excited at the amount of response so far to the event.  Ferrari, Mercedes, Porsche, Datsun, Volvo, Mini, etc. etc. owners have contacted us and plan to attend.

The main hotel in Paso Robles is filling up, so get your reservations in! Black Oak Inn Paso Robles

We added a neat lil party & get together on the 25th (Wednesday night) for the early arrivals to the area.
Enriques Restaurant just remodeled and the La Carrera Cantina (gee, you think we have a car theme going here?) will be the place to be in Thousand Oaks that evening. Use this link to visit the Best Western, Thousand Oaks

We are thinking of other fun things to do all the time and welcome your suggestions here so we can think on how to make this event just that much better.

Please feel free to participate , tell us something about yourself and your car & other events you have enjoyed.

All the best,
Dave Bouzaglou

Welcome to Targa California 2009!

Some of you are coming from far away to participate, and so we have planned a special Wednesday night get together at the Best Western in Thousand Oaks, CA click here for Wednesday Night Lodging.  It is located a few miles from the starting point in Moorpark — we hope to meet you then!

Entry to this event is FREE, but you MUST pre-register and sign and submit the drivers’ waiver before receiving the route instructions.  As with prior events that have inspired the Targa California, there are no prizes, no established pace (travel at your own leisure), no set start or stop times, but we do ask that you participate with a 1975 model or older vehicle. These are what we consider the “Best Years” of classic and vintage motoring.

Please navigate this site to Register and for more information on lodging and other related details and plans.  Don’t forget to make your reservations NOW, as past tours have filled up fast!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,
